Hi, I'm Lily

I'm a third-generation Italian who grew up in Australia. I have always loved and cherished my Italian heritage. I was lucky enough in 2024 to go to Italy for the first time and see where my Nonna and Nonno grew up before they came to Australia.

My family is big, loud, and so full of love. They are one of my favourite things about myself. As a little girl, I loved hearing my Nonnies talk about their time in Italy. This blog is all about them, their culture, traditions and stories. And well a little about me to.

My family has always been extremely close, with partners included; we are usually a group of 13. I see my Nonnies at least once a week, and when I was little, I would go up there every single Saturday as my mum had to work. We all live 10 minutes away from each other, which again enforces just how close we are. We are a walk-in and don’t knock family. The front doors are always open, and we will drop by unannounced, or within 5 minutes after calling to see if you’re home. M
